University of Tennessee sues Anthropic over neural-network patents

Reuters reports that the University of Tennessee Research Foundation has sued Anthropic in Delaware federal court, accusing the company of infringing patents related to neural-network technology inspired by neuroscience.
The complaint says Anthropic's AI systems violate intellectual-property rights tied to machine-learning methods, and argues the company's use of others' IP goes beyond copyright disputes.
