Fortune 500 customers spend under 0.1% of expenses on Anthropic, implying 10-50X headroom

Ben Bajarin notes over half the Fortune 500 already qualify as significant Anthropic customers, yet their average spend is less than 0.1% of expenses; the top ten spend 8X+ the cohort average while still under 1%.
Aaron Levie calls this the key stat: even if token price declines make it asymptote, enterprise spend could realistically grow 10-50X to reach 1-5% of expenses. Today only a microscopic set of companies run agents at scale in unprompted background workflows — Fortune 500 spend is dominated by coding and employee productivity use cases. The big jump will come when enterprises rewire their underlying processes, exposing a huge divide between frontier AI users and the rest of the world.
