Inspired by YouTube videos featuring weird chess variants, developer Vjeux used LLMs to automatically generate new chess rules and game modes.
One example is "Annihilation chess," where the goal is to capture every single opposing piece, rendering the king no longer special. These AI-generated variants are now playable online.
