NVIDIA congratulated poolside on the release of Laguna S 2.1, an open-weight model that the company says performs far above its size, runs well locally, and can be customized with NVIDIA NeMo. The quoted launch details say Laguna S 2.1 is a 118B-parameter MoE with 8B activated per token, supports up to a 1M-token context window, offers thinking and no-thinking modes, and is available under OpenMDW-1.1 with weights on Hugging Face.
