Reformation’s S-1 is one of the more concrete examples of how public filings are starting to surface AI use cases.

The filing says the fashion brand uses AI and machine learning for assortment planning, demand forecasting, concept development, trend identification, buying, allocation, and merchandising. It also says roughly 80% of DTC net revenue from 2021 to 2025 came from full-price sales, which the company links to its merchandising model and efficient supply chain.

That’s a useful reminder that many “AI companies” are really incumbents applying third-party AI tools to existing operations.
