Google ships Gemini 3.6 Flash and 3.5 Flash-Lite, cutting task time by over half

Google released Gemini 3.6 Flash and Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, and Artificial Analysis benchmarked both ahead of release.
- Gemini 3.6 Flash keeps intelligence roughly flat vs. 3.5 Flash (AA Intelligence Index 50), but cuts average time per task by more than half to 1.3 minutes and lowers cost per task by about 18% to $0.50.
- Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite gains 11 points on the Intelligence Index versus 3.1 Flash-Lite, while also cutting time per task to 0.6 minutes; its cost per task, however, rises from $0.04 to $0.09.
- Both models keep the 1M context window and accept text, image, video, and speech inputs with text output.
