Codex’s “Retry” button actually switches to a weaker model

The user says the Codex UI is misleading: the button says “Retry,” but it actually means “Switch” to a less capable model.
At first glance, they thought their work had stopped because of a model or API failure and that clicking retry would continue the job. After reading it more carefully, they realized it was asking them whether they wanted to downgrade the model instead.
Their reaction: they almost clicked it by mistake.
