Claude Max user says small edits now take 12 minutes and bigger tasks take hours
JTinkz · reddit · 2026-07-21
A Claude Max user says the product has become painfully slow over the past two months: tasks that should be small now take tens of minutes, while medium tasks can stretch to hours.
They say they have already tried many combinations of prompts, memory settings, fast mode, cache clearing, and different machines/plans, but the slowdown persists across projects. The post also includes a screenshot showing an edit task and a mention of bug-echo, a Claude Code skill that scans for sibling bugs after a fix.
