RANSAC scoring paper proposes a Gaussian-vs-uniform way to rank residuals
ducha_aiki · x · 2026-07-21
RANSAC Scoring Done Right revisits how to score inliers and outliers in RANSAC.
- The method sorts residuals first.
- It then scores each point by how well it matches a Gaussian model for inliers versus a uniform model for outliers.
- The only free parameter is the outlier density.
Authors: James Pritts, Felix Seegräber, and Kevin Köser.
