- Power supply task: the input was 80V AC and the outputs had to be +17.3V DC and -3.7V DC.
- Kimi K3 took multiple attempts but eventually produced a working rectifier + step-down regulator design.
- GPT 5.6 Sol got the positive rail right, but failed to keep the negative rail stable.
- DeepSeek v4 Flash and Qwen 3.6 27B struggled badly with the switch-mode supply from scratch.
