Advanced AI Models Are Becoming Impossible to Plug and Play

While many enterprises are considering frequently switching LLMs for cost or sovereignty reasons, Prof. Ethan Mollick points out that the most advanced models are growing increasingly different from one another.

He notes that models like Fable, Kimi K3, and Sol respond very differently to the same prompts. This means developers cannot simply 'plug and play' different models, and the hidden complexities of model substitution are often underestimated.
