AI is Tangibly Accelerating Progress Across Other Scientific Fields

Developer Lucas Meijer tweeted that the optimistic reading of AI—"it will accelerate progress in all other fields"—is kind of actually happening right now.
He subsequently proposed an interesting benchmark idea: apparently, no one has yet written a simple for-loop to pass the 100 most interesting math problems to a state-of-the-art model, which could serve as a direct way to test and track the true capability boundaries of LLMs in solving advanced mathematical issues.
