A cascading model strategy can outperform single-model setups by escalating only when cheaper models fail. The example in the post routes tasks through Kimi K3, then GPT-5.6 Sol, then Fable 5. With one verifier-driven failover, it reaches 85.6% at $7.30 per task; adding a third model raises coverage to 89.9% at $9.24 and nearly reaches the oracle ceiling.
