Unity launches a terminal-native CLI for coding agents and keeps MCP support free

Unity has introduced a terminal-native CLI for connecting coding agents, CI pipelines, and custom tooling to Unity.
- Existing Unity MCP setups remain supported.
- The new CLI includes an “MCP Mode” so MCP-based agents can migrate without starting over.
- Unity says both the CLI and MCP server will be free, with no concurrency limits on the MCP server.
