Open Source AI Disrupts Valuations; Expert Calls NVIDIA's 75% Margin Unsustainable

Pushing this argument down the stack into hardware, Wightman argues that to stay competitive, the US must address NVIDIA's 75% gross margin. While crediting NVIDIA's success, he notes that such a 'tax' on all frontier model labs is unsustainable for the collective West in the long run.
