Zhipu AI reportedly finishes 1-gigawatt data center built entirely on Chinese chips

A post citing Bloomberg says Zhipu AI has reportedly finished building a 1-gigawatt AI data center in China and has started partial operations.
- The facility is said to run entirely on Chinese-made chips, with no Nvidia hardware involved.
- It is intended to support the development of the company’s frontier GLM models.
- The same report says Zhipu has also built or operates multiple compute clusters with 10,000+ chips each.
