CAISI director Chris Fall resigns, NIST to act as interim lead

A scoop, reposted on X, says Dr. Chris Fall, director of the U.S. federal AI safety org CAISI, has resigned, according to two sources.
A Commerce spokesperson said NIST Director Dr. Arvind Raman will continue overseeing CAISI and serve as its acting director after Fall’s departure.
