Archestra is running an MCP app hackathon
Archestra is launching a one-week hackathon around its new Apps feature, where you describe an app in chat and it generates a sandboxed HTML interface that talks to your tools through MCP servers.
- The app itself can also act as an MCP server, so it works with external MCP clients.
- Participants are encouraged to turn weekly workflows into apps: PR review queues, invoice trackers, standup dashboards, and more.
- Details: July 22–29, online, free, worldwide; solo or teams welcome.
- Prizes include $1,000 for the most useful app, $750 for the best weird app, and $500 + swag for the most-liked public post.
- Setup is described as Docker plus an LLM API key, taking about 15 minutes.
