Alibaba, Ant Group, Tencent, Unitree and others announce new AI moves

- Taotian Group unveiled four AIGX results, including a real-time multimodal shopping agent in Pailitao, the ifStudio AI creation workstation, the Coupella generative causal inference model for marketing attribution, and the DREAMAgentic recommendation system.
- Ant Group introduced its “commercial agent super factory,” with Agentar 2.0, nearly 200 role-based digital expert templates, hundreds of Skills tools, its LingDT base model, and Agentix operating system.
- Tencent WorkBuddy reportedly surpassed 20 million monthly visits in June and kept the top spot in China’s PC AI-native office agent market.
- Unitree launched UnifoLM-OminiA-0.3, aimed at unified multimodal interaction understanding for home and elder-care tasks.
- Cix Tech showed a full-stack agentic computing lineup, including an AI mini PC co-developed with Lenovo, a 45 TOPS device, and local LLM deployment support.
- Hugging Face was said to have been hit by an AI-agent intrusion, after which it used China’s GLM 5.2 open-source model to help with log forensics when another commercial model refused the task.
