Meshy Closes Nearly $400M Series B Funding

Beijing-based AI 3D generation startup Meshy announced it has raised nearly 400 million USD in its Series B round, pushing its post-money valuation past 10 billion RMB and setting new records for both single-round funding and valuation in the AI3D generation sector.

The round was led by IDG Capital, Matrix Partners China, and Monolith, with participation from existing shareholders including GraniteAsia, Sequoia China, BAI Capital, and Source Code Capital. The company stated that the funds will be primarily used for AI multimodal model R&D and global market expansion. Meshy originated from "Taichi Graphics," and its founder, Hu Yuanming, previously led the open-source graphics computing library Taichi. The company launched its first-generation text/image-to-3D product in 2023, and released Meshy-6 in 2024, which optimized geometry and details while adding a low-poly mode, multi-color 3D printing, and an upgraded API.

On the commercial front, Meshy reported a 12x ARR growth over the past year, surpassing 12 million registered users and generating over 100 million 3D models cumulatively, maintaining a 20%30% month-over-month growth over the past two years. Its clientele spans gaming, 3D printing, design, and cultural sectors, including Nexon, NetEase Games, 37 Interactive Entertainment, Bambu Lab, Creality, and xTool. The company is also exploring AI gaming and real-time interactive multimodal content engines.
