Bittensor Integrates Bandwidth and Storage Subnets
markjeffrey · x · 2026-07-20
Two infrastructure subnets within the Bittensor ecosystem are integrating. After Beam Transfer Studio tested the native Hippius connector, data transfers on Beam will support flowing between **R2 ↔ Hippius ↔ R2**, directly integrating decentralized storage into a programmable bandwidth network. The post positions this as progress in building an interoperability layer for AI and enterprise data, highlighting the combination of "picks and shovels" infrastructure like storage and bandwidth.
