TSMC is reportedly preparing to raise chipmaking prices by up to 10% in 2027 as AI demand and global expansion push up costs.
According to Bloomberg and Nikkei, TSMC started discussing the increase with customers in June and finalized the base-price hikes this month.
- The reported increase would apply in 2027.
- The change could raise costs for both data center buildouts and consumer products such as iPhones.
