The author shares further technical details on the aforementioned LLM Deep Dream experiment. The process optimizes a given input image via gradient descent on its probability. The image is represented using FFT (Fast Fourier Transform), where high frequencies are suppressed, and RGB colors are decorrelated and normalized to a target standard deviation before finally applying a tanh function.
