SOOFI's Sovereignty Narrative Slammed as Misleading

The author criticizes SOOFI's current use of "sovereignty" for misleading the public. The announcement fails to clarify that the project is a reproduction based on the open Nemotron-3-Nano stack, easily giving the false impression of a completely in-house developed model.
He argues that replicating an existing open-source stack does not equate to sovereignty. A more honest description would be reproducing an existing open model on local facilities, rather than building the data, training pipeline, and architecture from scratch.
