The author's main grievances: 1) This approach is said to be less efficient than the old string lookup, making Claude's context retrieval feel like "each time a new instance." 2) Anthropic **anonymizes partner, family, and other names**, and users **cannot manually override** this, seen as strong paternalistic design. Anthropic's response in the screenshot mentions they cannot store "partner / family names," this restriction is hardcoded; if users want policy changes, they should use the thumbs-down feedback channel.
