Yang Zhilin on Kimi 3 and Agents
gaganghotra_ · x · 2026-07-19
In a 90-minute workshop, Moonshot CEO Yang Zhilin emphasized that Claude is winning not just because of "reasoning," but because it bet heavily on agents. However, the truly overlooked layer is that good agents require good foundation models, which is exactly what Kimi 3 aims to provide.
He added that even the smartest agent will fail if configured incorrectly. The ultimate goal is to let K2 help build K3, which is impossible to achieve without agent skills.
