NVIDIA Researcher on NuRec: From Demo to Product

After nearly five years at the company, an NVIDIA researcher is departing and reflecting on the evolution of NuRec. What began as a quick demo for Jensen's 2022 GTC keynote eventually grew into a simulator with real product impact, spawning InstantNuRec and OmniDreams.
They note that the most rewarding part is seeing research move from prototypes and papers into production, praising NVIDIA for building a rare bridge between open research, massive engineering, and real-world impact—especially in physical AI and simulation.
