Opinion: Open-Source AI Accelerates Rather Than Decelerates

xeophon · x · 2026-07-19

Previous analyses have suggested that open-source AI is viewed as a threat because its popularization could ultimately destroy the business models of major AI labs, causing them to lose their R&D funding.
