The Term AGI is Outdated

The core argument is that the term AGI is no longer adequate for describing current and future AI, as AI has already surpassed humans in many economically relevant tasks. The author prefers the term "superintelligences."

However, this does not mean AI is inherently better than humans overall. Humans possess irreplaceable capabilities, particularly in caring for one another, building relationships, and passing these "pro-human-life" values onto machines. The author also argues that AI will replace tasks, but it won't replace "you" as a person; what truly makes a person irrelevant is giving up on being oneself.
