Zhidongxi went hands-on with the Nubia NaviXUltra, an agent phone co-developed by Nubia and ByteDance's Doubao. Compared to the previous M153, the new device has significant upgrades in appearance, interaction, and engineering details, aiming to "let the phone do things for you."
Key points include:
- Design & Form: Large horizontal camera module on the back, available in Blue, Dream, Black, and White, with a metal frame.
- Agent Interaction: Supports cross-app actions, can execute multi-step tasks like "find cat videos on Douyin," "check flights," "order coffee," and displays steps, thought process, and progress in real time.
- Proactive Memory: Claims to have proactive memory, incorporating user collections and operation habits across apps into its memory system, making the phone smarter over time.
- Engineering Improvements: Team emphasized optimizations in high-noise voice recognition, complex semantic understanding, heat dissipation, and appearance design, addressing shortcomings from earlier agent experiences.
- Mass Production & Security: Ni Fei stated this direction is not a demo track; the team has completed technical verification, internet filing, and mass production conditions, with security and privacy as the top priority.
