ZTE Unveils OEX Supernode and 800V HVDC
量子位 · wechat · 2026-07-18
At WAIC, ZTE showcased its OEX Supernode and AIDC Compute-Power Collaboration Solution, releasing a domestically produced high-performance Matrix supernode solution based on the OEX + dOCS architecture. This approach has been validated following Nvidia's GB200 NVL72 and is now being engineered and infrastructure-ready in China.
OEX Supernode
- Features an orthogonal architecture, connecting compute trays and switch trays vertically within the cabinet
- Zero cables, no backplane, shortening signal paths and reducing loss and latency
- A single cabinet can house 128 GPUs, scaling up to 16384 GPUs
- Through collaboration with multiple chip vendors, it supports the compatibility and combination of GPUs from different camps
- By shifting development upfront and unifying engineering paradigms, the deployment cycle is compressed from over 1 year to less than half a year
Power and Cooling
- Launched the 800V HVDC solution, expected to go commercial in September this year
- Claims to reduce current by 50%80%, boosting end-to-end power supply efficiency from 94% to 98%
- Intelligent computing micro-modules and liquid cooling support single-cabinet deployments of 250kW+, with PUE as low as 1.15
- Cold plate liquid cooling capacity per cabinet can scale from 1500kW to 2400kW, supporting online coolant replacement
- Uses AI-driven DCIM for predictive power and cooling optimization
Other Exhibits
- The AI agent phone Nubia NaviX Ultra made its public debut, featuring "completing complex tasks across apps with a single sentence"
- Demonstrated smart home tech, enterprise agent platforms, medical AI solutions, and a matrix of humanoid robots
Overall, the focus isn't on individual products but on ZTE's attempt to link computing, power, cooling, and end-user applications into a full-stack pipeline "from Bit to Token".
