Brain Cancer Mutation Screening Tool Takes First Place

The winner of the Life Science Hackathon Research track is NCypher, developed by Faith Ogundimu from Dublin, Ireland.

Designed for an almost universally fatal childhood brain cancer, this tool searches the DNA regions between genes, narrowing down thousands of suspicious mutations to a select few that are most worth validating in the lab.
