Complaints Erupt Over Codex's New Quota System
Street-Cry7471 · reddit · 2026-07-17
The author complains that the new Codex usage quota system is highly confusing. On the surface, it looks like you can "use more," but the 5 usage credits are already exhausted, and they won't reset until the 24th.
They mention that the original 5-hour reset mechanism was much more intuitive. The new system makes users feel forced into either enabling pay-as-you-go or upgrading to a higher-tier plan.
