SAP Acquires AI Startup Prior Labs and Invests Over €1 Billion

The European AI ecosystem has recently seen two major advancements:
- Historic Acquisition: Prior Labs, one of Europe's first AI spin-offs (co-founded by Frank Hutter), was acquired by SAP. SAP pledged to invest over €1 billion to expand its frontier AI lab while maintaining its commitment to open science.
- Funding Support: Ten European teams, including Ontic Labs and Feyer, were selected for the Next-Generation AI Architecture Challenge, each receiving €3 million in funding.
