At DevCon 6, Palantir launched Orchestrator: a persistent execution layer for agents, designed to allow them to resume execution from their original state after crashes, recoveries, or waiting periods.
A key takeaway quoted from the post is that the current bottleneck for agent usability isn't "intelligence," but trust. The author uses a patient discharge process as an example: if a task is interrupted halfway, it can resume days later without losing state or duplicating side effects, and it won't waste compute power while waiting for approvals.
