SPRIND announced the selected teams for "The Next Frontier AI Stage 1":
- A total of 10 teams from 5 countries
- Each team is eligible for up to €26.5M in non-dilutive funding
- The goal is to fund the establishment of European frontier AI labs
- Key focus areas include: Physical AI, world models, continual learning, automated science
The project organizers described this as a major bet on the "next-generation paradigm."
