Ryan Greenblatt Estimates Kimi Lags Anthropic by ~8 Months

When discussing the trajectory of model capabilities, AI researcher Ryan Greenblatt estimated that Kimi's overall model strength currently lags behind Anthropic by about 8 months (possibly 6-7 months), but definitely more than 5 months. He explained that this estimate aims to smooth out the development trajectories of both sides; for instance, the model Anthropic released about 5 months ago is clearly superior to its earlier versions and most likely more useful than the current version of Kimi.
