Sakana Expands NVIDIA Open-Source Model Partnership
udmrzn · x · 2026-07-17
Sakana AI announced an expanded partnership with NVIDIA to integrate NVIDIA's open-source model stack, including the Nemotron series, into its multi-agent orchestration system, Sakana Fugu.
The core idea is to move beyond relying on a single large model. Instead, Fugu acts as an orchestration hub behind a single API, dynamically selecting, coordinating, and combining the capabilities of multiple models based on the task.
This collaboration benefits both sides:
- Sakana expands its repertoire of callable specialized models.
- NVIDIA observes the real-world performance of its open models in complex, multi-step workflows.
- Both parties aim to continuously improve their models and orchestration systems through real-world feedback.
