NVIDIA Releases New Embedding Model, Tops RTEB
NVIDIAAI · x · 2026-07-17
NVIDIA has officially unveiled a new set of open, commercially available embedding models tailored for agentic retrieval, code search, and agent memory.
Notably, Nemotron-3-Embed-8B-BF16 ranks first on the RTEB leaderboard with a retrieval score of 78.5%. The post also explains that RTEB is a RAG retrieval leaderboard evaluating a model's reliability in fetching the correct context; if retrieval fails, agents are left with irrelevant evidence, triggering more searches and longer reasoning chains.
