Using Codex for Code Review in Claude Code

A developer shared a practical AI coding workflow: using OpenAI Codex as an approval gate before executing git commit.
While building a Stripe-based payment workflow with Claude Code, the author used Codex for adversarial code review, uncovering 30 critical P0 and P1 bugs in a single pass. This effectively prevented fatal issues that could have caused real financial losses, such as double charges, lost orders, and inconsistent pricing displays.
