OpenAI Launches Physical Codex Controller

OpenAI and Work Louder have launched kbd-1.0-codex-micro, a physical controller designed for Codex/AI agent workflows, priced at $230.
It maps common operations to physical keys and controls:
- RGB indicators display agent status: Thinking / Running / Waiting / Done
- A joystick quickly triggers workflows like reviewing PRs, debugging, and refactoring code
- Includes core actions like Accept / Reject / Push-to-talk / New Chat
- A knob adjusts "reasoning intensity"
The device supports Bluetooth + USB-C, is compatible with Mac / Windows, and comes with custom Codex keycaps.
