Microsoft Foundry Autopilots: agents with their own Entra identity and M365 account
marlene_zw · x · 2026-10-27
Microsoft's Foundry now supports Autopilots—persistent agents that operate under their own identity with a dedicated Entra agent user account, getting their own email, calendar, OneDrive, and Teams presence to act in Microsoft 365 without a signed-in user. The author also demos building one via GitHub Copilot App + Foundry, integrating the new Decision 1 model for intent classification so agents can recognize intent and autonomously decide when to act.
