nordicinst · x · 2026-07-16
According to MIT Technology Review, MIT and Red Hat have jointly released a data augmentation system named GIFT. The system aims to teach Vision-Language Models (VLMs) to directly convert 2D designs into high-precision CAD models, accelerating rapid prototyping.
GIFT features low compute consumption and high fidelity. The goal is to further drive technological development in relevant fields by optimizing the design workflow of AI-assisted CAD tools.
