MIT Team Unveils Floating Companion Robot

A team from Keio University, the MIT Media Lab, and other institutions has proposed an alternative to humanoid home robots: a floating companion robot.
Named Floating Companion, this prototype resembles a small white whale. It uses a soft, helium-filled structure to float indoors via fin-like movements, rather than using legs or wheels like traditional robots.
