Codex Windows App Reportedly Has Driver Loading Bug
bdsqlsz · x · 2026-07-16
Someone pointed out a rather severe bug in the Codex Windows App: even when not connected to a Codex Micro, the app might prematurely load the built-in Work Louder/Codex Micro native driver. The post also mentions a deeper issue: `serialport.node` lazily imports `node.exe!napi_module_register`, but `ChatGPT.exe` does not export this symbol. The symbol actually resides in `chrome.dll`.
