matei_zaharia · x · 2026-07-16
Neon is beta-testing three new backend capabilities, which the reposter believes represent the next wave of cloud infrastructure for agentic development:
- Object Storage
- Functions
- AI Gateway
These features are all branchable, just like databases. Combined with the database and Managed Better Auth, they form a more complete backend platform, enabling agents to securely build next-generation applications.
