IBM Releases Docling for Document-to-Data Conversion

IBM has released Docling, a free Python library designed to convert various documents into structured data.
Based on the thread, its core technologies include:
- PDF backend parsing
- Layout analysis models
- Vision-based table formatting
- OCR text recognition
It also supports converting PDFs, such as academic papers, into Markdown. The author's example demonstrates converting the DocLayNet paper from arXiv into Markdown format.
