Ex-Employees Sue Meta for Discriminatory Layoffs

26 former employees are suing Meta, alleging that the company discriminated against disabled staff when using algorithms and related metrics to conduct layoffs.
The lawsuit claims that so-called AI and efficiency metrics may unfairly penalize employees for:
- Maternity or parental leave
- Sick leave and other absences
- Work pace and activity metrics
The plaintiffs argue this could violate the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
