In a reply, Russ Tedrake revealed that he and his team began "building something new" in January of this year and are finally sharing initial details: they have founded Walden Robotics.
He explained that the motivation behind starting the company isn't solely about the "robots" themselves, but also about the "people"—a concept he plans to explore further in his first Walden blog post. While specific products aren't discussed yet in the thread, the name, direction, and background of the new venture are now clear.
