LimX Dynamics Unveils Humanoid Brain System
新智元 · wechat · 2026-07-15
LimX Dynamics has released the humanoid brain system LimX COSA 0.5. They demonstrated their full-size humanoid robot Oli completing a sequence of household chores—such as handling clothes, organizing toys, moving boxes, and picking up items—in a home setting without teleoperation, cuts, or editing.
The post details its three-layer architecture:
- S2 Cognitive Layer: Operating at 1Hz, responsible for scene understanding, memory, reasoning, and task scheduling to decide "what to do."
- S1 Skill Layer: Operating at 50Hz, managing reusable combinations of motor skills, emphasizing separate training and on-demand invocation.
- S0 Locomotion & Control Layer: Operating at 1000Hz, based on the in-house LimX WBT whole-body foundation model for balance and joint control.
Comparisons with the state-of-the-art whole-body tracking model SONIC show joint angle error reduced from 3.3° to 1.5°, and whole-body position error reduced from 13.75mm to 12.85mm, with smoother motions. Simultaneously, LimX Dynamics open-sourced HumanoidFluxVLAEngine, covering the entire pipeline from training to on-device inference, supporting the training and evaluation of various mainstream VLA policies.
